We have to quit screen architect and EA (it looks like SA keeps running in the background) and restart them before we are able to make normal use of SA again. This happens a few times a day.

I have to use ET almost daily at work, and apart from it being particularly slow on our network, the things which annoy me about the program are:

1. Auto log-out. Could you add in a feature in the user profile or maybe the admin section to disable the auto log-out for specific users? I always come back from reading a document to see ET threatening to log me out!

2. Enter button submit log-in form. I like to hit enter to log-in once I've put in my username and password. It's a small deal but its part of the bigger picture for me.

3. Non-IE support. Using ET in Firefox or Chrome is painfully slow, if not completely broken. I see 'Error on page' more than I see my tests, and having to use IE to run ET properly is a bit of a shame.

During inactivity timeouts with Enterprise Tester, the inactivity prompt has CLOSE on the left and LOGIN on the right. I find myself frequently hitting CLOSE instead of LOGIN out of the habit of expecting LOGIN to be on the left. Switching those buttons to more standard positions would be nice.

Attachments are used in test scripts as a way of expressing e.g. expected result in tables (.xls-files).
This is perfectly fine while working with ET, when e.g. running test scripts.

But when generating test reports that are to be distributed externally, to stakeholders that do not have access to the ET server, the attachments are not included (at least not in standard reports).

Is there some way of generating an appendix to generated reports, containing the attachments that are referred to by e.g. test scripts ?
This could be either in printable form, or maybe simply generating a directory of attachments that can be zipped and distributed along with a ET generated report ?
Any other suggestions on how to handle this scenario ?

I can't find where to copy this from, and hence need help understanding... :-) We have no DSN set up for this, for example, so what should I use as "Data Source="? The connection from EA is done using the "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server". "Initial Catalog" - is that the version control master catalog at the server?

Version 2.0.1052 of Enterprise Tester seems to have broken the timeout functionality.

Having navigated to Admin -> Users -> Configuration -> Configure Timeouts, I've found that the default values for the Timeout Warning and Timeout are 10 and 15 minutes respectively.

I change the values and save. I'm presented with the message "Timeouts have been updated, these changes will only apply to new sessions."

If I then start a new session I find that the timeouts have reverted to their original default values.

I must say that 10 minute timeouts are quite annoying as a few of the applications that I'm working on at the moment require connection to a VPN which drops my access to ET. I find that I need to fully expand a multi-step execution view of a test case, connect to the VPN and perform the test. This often takes more than 10 minutes to perform which results in a timeout. When I attempt to follow instructions in section 13 of the user manual describing the configurations for EA within DCOM, I cannot find an ASPNET user to give local permissions to. When I try to use the NETWORK SERVICE, I either get an error message or the program just hangs "saving..."
